SUMMIT HOMES TO OPEN CANYON VIEW IN SOUTHWEST VALLEY

With the current grand opening of its new Canyon View community, Summit Homes is helping families take a little step back in time. Back to when people waved at their neighbors and chatted over the fence about the day; and when people looked out for each other because they knew every car on the street.

A time when you felt good about the quality of the home you lived in — because neighbors knew the people who built it by sight and by name.

At Canyon View, Summit Homes designed homes to be built in intimate cul-de-sac neighborhoods of 20 homes. Here, life is a little bit slower; and a lot more like it used to be.

The neighborhood offers three two-story floor plans. All three plans include paver-set driveways; oversized entry doors and windows; granite kitchen countertops with crown molding on cabinetry; exterior coach lighting; and electronics-friendly USB receptacles.

Canyon View has easy access to the 215 Beltway at Jones Boulevard.

Floor plan choices

■ Plan One at Canyon View — priced from $244,990 and provides residents with three bedrooms, loft, 2½ baths, and two-car garages in 1,907 square feet.

Residents can leave their day behind as they cross the threshold of a grand 8-foot entry doorway, then are met with a feeling of comfort and belonging in the merged spaces of great room, dining area, and kitchen. Flush with natural light and logically functional in design, this is a place that easily lends itself to relaxed family living and casual entertaining.

All three bedrooms are on the second level, with a generous loft buffering the master suite from the remaining bedrooms.

■ The second model available to view onsite is Plan Three, priced from $248,990. Featuring 2,043 square feet with four bedrooms, loft, 2½ baths and two-car garage. Vaulted ceilings allow placement of large window panels above the entry, bringing the area more light.

From the kitchen — the heart of the home — a granite-topped island overlooks both dining and great room areas and makes this a gathering space to share with family and friends.

The loft is at the top of the stairs, splitting the placement of the private, oversized master suite with retreat space and luxury bath, from the three remaining upstairs rooms.

■ Not currently modeled at Canyon View is Plan Two, which measures 1,944 square feet. It is priced from $248,990. This design was created in response to the overwhelming popularity of Plan Three to increase its availability to buyers. Similar in floor plan to Plan Three, it is slightly modified to accommodate demand of this home style on specific lots within this intimate neighborhood.

All plans offer a variety of optional upgrades from dynamic stone exterior accents and two-tone interior paint selections, to appliances, countertops and cabinetry.

Buyers at Canyon View can request changes in their homes that have are not under construction. They buyers can opt for personal designs. However, company representatives say they cannot make changes that affect load-bearing walls, of course.

The builder is offering special grand opening incentives. Some homes can be ready for 30-day occupancy.

Summit Home representatives said the company also will pay closing costs for U.S. military veterans. They said there are other financial opportunities for homebuyers such as the “Zero Closing Cost” and “Home Is Possible” programs.

Summit Homes will open three neighborhoods — Claremont, Westcott and Emery (a total of 17 models) at the master-planned community of Providence in the northwest valley.
